Find Me Safe is a straightforward application designed for safety assurance, providing location updates to designated contacts if a preset timer is not reset. I have utilized it during solo mountain biking and running in forested areas, where it is often difficult for others to notice if I am overdue due to a fibula fracture. The app also appears suitable for lone worker scenarios or virtual escort arrangements, especially in situations where communication may be compromised or impractical.

Once the timer expires, an SMS message is automatically sent to a pre-selected contact, including the user's GPS coordinates embedded as a Google Maps URL for convenient tracking. The user receives a notification as the countdown approaches its end, prompting action. If the timer is reset before expiration, no message is dispatched. Additionally, Find Me Safe can continuously upload your location during an activity with a timer, ensuring that your last known position is recorded even if your device later becomes unavailable or damaged, eliminating the need for manual updates.

It is important to note that background GPS usage can significantly impact battery life due to continuous operation. Users should consider this aspect when relying on the app for extended periods.
